Lucknow: A shocking case of 'triple talaq' has come to light in the Agra district of Uttar Pradesh. Here, the accused husband has given triple talaq to the victim standing outside her maternal house. The parents of the victim say that the accused husband beat the woman so much that her spinal cord was broken. Because of this, the victim is bedridden for the last one year.  

According to the report, this case is related to Azampada under the Shahganj police station of Agra district. Ahmed, a lawyer living here, had married his sister Saira in the year 2009 with Raju, a resident of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The victim's brother, advocate Ahmed, alleges that Raju and his family started torturing his sister for dowry after marriage. Panchayat was also called many times regarding dowry, but there was no change in the actions of Raju and his family members. Advocate Ahmed, brother of the victim Saira, says that about one and a quarter years ago, Raju had fiercely assaulted Saira while demanding a bike. During this fight, she was badly injured and her spine was broken. After Saira is injured, Raju sends her and her 11-year-old daughter to her maternal home, but is keeping the son with him.

The parents of the victim say that Saira has been bedridden for the last one year after the beating. Raju never came to meet him nor did he ever try to get any information regarding him. But, on July 4 this year, Raju came home and, abusing Saira, told Saira that she was no longer worthy of him. Meanwhile, Raju said talaq thrice outside the house and returned back to Bharatpur.

At the same time, advocate Ahmed, brother of Saira, who became a victim of 'triple talaq' and domestic violence, has said that in this case, he had given a complaint to the police, but the FIR was not registered. After this, an FIR has been registered after complaining on CM Yogi's complaint portal. In this whole matter, the station in-charge Jasveer Sirohi has told that on the basis of the complaint, the matter is being investigated by registering a case against the accused Raju under sections 498A, 323, 504, 506, and Muslim Marriage Act.
