Lucknow: In Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, a person named Sarvendra Vikram Singh has accused some people of converting people by luring them. He has given a complaint in Fatehpur police station that he is a resident of Sultanpur and had come to Fatehpur in 2021 in connection with work. Here he met a person named Ramchandra. This person gave him many temptations to convert. He was told that if he becomes a Christian, his organization will give him 15 thousand rupees, and also he will be married to a beautiful girl.

According to the complainant, Ramchandra told him, 'Leave your Hindu religion and accept Christianity, you will not have to do any work, we and our organization will give you cash and the family will also be treated free of cost.' Sarvendra has told that Ramchandra had told him that the name of his institution is SHUATS University Naini. He had also said that 'You will be married to a beautiful girl.' The victim has informed that after the temptations he got greedy and after that, he was brought to the Indian Press Byterian Church. Here he met the priest. Here also it was promised that after conversion they would not only get cash but will also be given many gifts.

According to the victim, after the church, he was taken to Prayagraj. Here he met about 40-50 people, who instigated him to leave Hinduism and told him that he would be given a job in SHUATS, would get Rs 15,000, and would also get married to a beautiful girl. These people also told Sarvendra that their organization has a lot of money, and that money will also be given to him if needed. After all kinds of greed, Sarvendra got converted in the church of Deviganj. After this, he was told that 'you have become a Christian. Now convert your relatives, friends, and villagers also, for this you will be given 20 thousand rupees.'

According to the complainant, the organization of these people gets money from abroad. That's why he was told, 'There will be no shortage of money in your life.' However, a few days later, Sarvendra realized his actions and returned to Hinduism. Now he has filed a complaint in this matter. He said that he was very scared. But, when he came to know that the police is conducting an impartial investigation on the conversion case in Fatehpur, he too came forward and lodged a complaint.

The police have registered this case under Section 120B of IPC, Section 3, and Section 5 (1) of the Uttar Pradesh Law Against Religious Conversion Prohibition Act, 2021. Police have registered a case against RB Lal (Vice Chancellor), Vinod B Lal, Ajay Lawrence, Ramakant, Jonathan Lal, SB Lal, Stephen Pass, Derrick Dennis, Ramchandra, an unknown priest, and 40-50 others.
