NSA imposed on SP leader Umaid, know why..

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Umaid Wrestler, accused of communalising the case of assaulting a Muslim elderly man in Loni in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, has been taken to action under the National Security Act (NSA). Umaid is in difficulty to get bail for a year after the NSA action. The Umaid Wrestler was arrested and sent to jail on June 19, 2021 in the case. The accused had tried to give communal colour to the incident of inciting and assaulting people through Facebook Live.

According to the report, the accused is currently lodged in Dasna jail in 14 days judicial custody. Police said, 5-6 cases have already been registered against the accused. It was Asha who tried to give communal colour to the assault by shaving victim's beard and forcibly ordered to utter 'Jai Shri Ram'. The Ghaziabad police have so far arrested 11 accused in the Abdul Samad assault case. 

It is being found in investigation that Umaid then made the video viral. In view of the sensitivity of the case, the Uttar Pradesh Police had asked the Twitter to stop it. However, the micro blogging site allowed it to go viral, after which a case was also registered against the Twitter also.
