Mathura: A private bus going from Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh district to Anand Vihar, Delhi, collided with a truck near Bajna Cut of Yamuna Expressway on Sunday morning, injuring about 20 people aboard the bus. In these, six people have been admitted by the police to the hospital in Jewar for treatment.

A private bus from Azamgarh was going to Anand Vihar, Delhi this morning via Yamuna Expressway. Then it clashed in a ballast-laden truck standing ahead on the cut, injuring 20 people on the bus badly. Security guard Lokesh posted on Yamuna Expressway told the police that when he reached the spot, there was a scream around. Expressway guards broke the glass panes and took out the injured.

On receipt of information of the accident, the Naujheel Police and SP Dehat Aditya Kumar Shukla have admitted all the injured to Kailash Hospital, Jewar and Bhaskar Hospitals Mathura and Naujheel Community Health Center. SP Rural said that there were about 45 passengers in the bus, in which about 18 to 20 passengers were injured. All the injured have been admitted to hospitals in Jewar and Naujheel, in which the condition of six remains critical. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
