Rampur: A sensational love jihad case has come to light in Rampur in Uttar Pradesh. On Facebook, Muhammad Ayan named Rahul and created a fake ID and described himself as a Hindu. First the girl was snareed and then held hostage for 6 months and raped. An FIR has been registered against three persons including the main accused in the case. Ayan and his brother have been arrested by the police.

It is alleged that Muhammad Ayan along with his friends also gang raped the girl. The victim is a resident of Kushinagar and the accused is from Nawabnagar. The girl said that the man had given his name as Rahul and gradually their conversation turned into friendship and then love. At the behest of the youth, the victim left her house and came to Rampur from where Ayan took her to her village. In a complaint letter submitted to the IG of Moradabad, the victim said that she was held hostage in the house for six months. At the same time, he came to know that the man's name was not Rahul and that he was a Muslim. She was tortured when she wanted to get rid of him and refused to marry. The victim said Rahul not only raped her but also called two of her friends and they also raped her.

The victim said she somehow managed to get a chance and complained to the local Kotwali but there was no hearing. However, now not only FIR has been registered on the directions of the IG but two accused have also been sent to jail. Police are on the lookout for the third accused.
