Kanpur: The criminal incidents in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur are not taking the name of decreasing. Now, the wife of senior advocate Vishwanath Kapoor of Kanpur has been killed. Thieves broke into the house of Vishwanath Kapoor, one of the city's most distinguished lawyers, on Monday night. The thieves tied the maid's hands and legs and started looting, in the meantime, the lawyer's wife came and started opposing, after which the thieves attacked her.

In fact, a case of murder of an elderly woman in Concord Apartment under Swaroop Nagar police station of Kanpur and robbing her of lakhs of rupees has come to light. Madhu Kapoor lived in flat no. 307. with a maid named Savitri. On Monday night, the miscreants reached the flat, telling the driver to open the door. As soon as they entered, the thieves locked the maid Savitri in the bathroom and started looting the house. When Madhu resisted, the miscreants strangulated her to death. They then fled with the cash and jewellery.

The maid says that the robbers had tied my hands and legs and locked me in the room. The ADCP said the matter is being investigated. Some suspects have been captured on CCTV, information about them is being collected.
