Jaunpur: In the Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh, miscreants have seen havoc. In the Line Bazar police station area, some criminals shot dead a Samajwadi Party (SP) councilor. After the murder of the councilor, the miscreants escaped from there. The police is currently looking for miscreants.

The name of the councilor is being described as Lakhandar Yadav. Lakhandar was also the leader of the SP. According to the news, Lakhandar Yadav, a resident of Saidanpur, was going to his house through the fields at around 8 pm. Just then, the miscreants who were ambushed near the city station opened fire at Lakhandar and escaped. Lakhandar was injured in the firing. A crowd of people gathered there after the incident. Lakhandar was rushed to the district hospital immediately, but doctors declared him dead.

Party leaders have also started gathering after the news of the murder of the SP leader. The SP termed the government a failure to control crime in the state. At the same time, the GRP's CO also reached the railway station from Varanasi to investigate this murder. With the forensic team, they investigated the scene. During this time, seven cartridges of cartridges were recovered from them. The police has just started searching for the absconding miscreants. Police has claimed that soon the crooks will be behind bars.
