In the same sequence, Manish Singh Sonu was dumped with a reward of 2 lakh in Varanasi on Monday.

Manish Singh Sonu, who had a reward of Rs 2 lakh, has been killed by the Uttar Pradesh STF in an encounter in the Lohta area of Varanasi. Manish Singh Sonu was wanted in several other cases like 10 lakh rupees in Kapsethi, including the ND Tiwari murder case. He has more than two dozen cases registered against him in Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Varanasi and Chandauli. Recently, the UP Police had increased the reward amount on Manish Singh Sonu to 2 lakh. He had been absconding for several months. 

On August 28, 2020, Manish Singh Sonu had publicly murdered two people, including history-sheeter Abhishek Singh Prince of Cantt police station, in Chaukaghat. Earlier, Manish was wanted in connection with the robbery and murder of a bullion trader in Azamgarh.
