Lucknow: After becoming the Uttar Pradesh BJP President, Swatantra Dev Singh has resigned from the Minister post from the Cabinet. His resignation was accepted by CM Yogi Adityanath late Sunday night. He has resigned as a minister because of the BJP's "one man-one post" principle. His departure from the cabinet was supposed to be decided after he became the BJP state president.

On the other hand, the first cabinet expansion of the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh has been abruptly postponed. Sources say the expansion of the cabinet has been stalled as former Union Minister Arun Jaitley is in a very serious state. Preparations had begun at the Raj Bhavan for the cabinet expansion to be held at 11 a.m. on Monday. More than half a dozen ministers were to be administered oath of office and secrecy at the Raj Bhavan. A large number of legislators and ministers were also ordered to arrive in the capital by Sunday night. However, no official information was given in this regard till late night at Raj Bhavan.

UP Governor Anandiben Patel is scheduled to visit Delhi On Monday. Her return will take place two days later. The possibility of expanding the cabinet is only after Wednesday. There was a lot of speculation about the possible names to be included in the cabinet expansion. The most troubled were the supporters of the ministers whose removal is under discussion.
