Lucknow: Police have arrested three persons in connection with the murder of Dhaba owner Sewaram Gangwar in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly district. They have been identified as Munawwar Khan (42 years), Mojim Khan (30 years) and Musharraf Khan (31 years). Police have also seized the knife and vehicle used in the incident. Police interrogation revealed that the murder was committed for demanding Rs 4 more for tea.

According to information, Sewaram Gangwar was a resident of Fatehpur West. He used to run a Dhaba near the Delhi-Lucknow National Highway. On March 11, Munawwar, Mojim and Musharraf had arrived at the Dhaba to have tea. After drinking the tea, he gave Rs 16, but Gangwar asked him to pay Rs 4 more, that is, Rs 20, according to the new rate list. There was a conversation between them about this, after which Sevaram asked them to leave. At that time, the three left, but the next day they again reached the Dhaba.

During this time, they pretended that they deeply regretted what they had done and had come to apologize. Sevaram also got into things. The trio then took Sevaram with them to drink alcohol. During this time, seeing the opportunity, Munawwar, Mojim and Musharraf stabbed Sevaram to death with a knife and dumped the body in a field near Fatehganj West police station area. SSP Bareilly Rohit Singh Sajwan said, "The weapon used in the murder and the vehicle used to throw away the body has been seized. The accused have admitted that the crime was committed under the influence of alcohol.''

Munawwar told the police, "When we refused to pay the increased price, he misbehaved and threatened us. We felt insulted. The next day we decided to take revenge and kill him.'' Police have registered a case against the accused and sent them to jail.
