Lucknow: 3 people belonging to SDPI have been arrested from Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh. Dr Alim, Kamaruddin and Sahibay Alam, who run the medical clinics, have been arrested by the police. These people have been arrested from the medical clinic located on the side of Heera Masjid.

The police have arrested them for disseminating, publicizing images, articles that harm communal harmony and national integrity through social media (Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter). Among the three people arrested, a person named Sahibe Alam is a former officer of the disputed organization PFI. Additional SP City Kunwar Gyananjaya Singh in Bahraich said: "SDPI has emerged as a new face of PFI."

Additional SP City Kunwar Gyananjaya Singh informed the media that SDPI is involved in the disputed activity. This organization is involved in disruptive work under the guise of leading the Dalits, the exploited and the Muslims. They are expected to be associated with other banned organizations. The police is investigating this matter.
