New Delhi: The UP Police team, which went to Mumbai to probe the controversy over the Tandav web series, has been questioned for 4 hours long by the producer and director of the web series Tandav. In the meantime, the team of Tandav has placed their stand before the Uttar Pradesh police officers. The UP police team is now heading back from Mumbai.
On Friday, a web series Tandav team appeared before the UP police in Andheri and Juhu, Mumbai. These included the film's producer Himanshu Krishna Mehra, director Ali Abbas Zafar and writer Gaurav Solanki. The three have filed their statements before the UP police. They were interrogated at different locations due to security. In the meantime, web series makers put their side in detail before the UP police.
The UP police also sought necessary clarifications from them. UP police cannot interrogate Amazon Prime's content head, Aparna Purohit. She is currently in Delhi and her statement has not been recorded. The UP Police will go to Delhi and file a separate statement of Aparna. The UP police team has said that we are now going back up. We will discuss the matter with our senior officers and submit our inquiry report.
