New Delhi:  Since the new motor vehicle act comes to the law, due to which the stories of traffic challans are making headlines daily. The latest case has come from the Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh. The traffic police here has slapped a huge fine on August 26, that too of a government bus. After this incident, questions have arisen on the way the traffic police work.

This matter is of 26 August but has just come to the fore. Here the traffic police fined the driver of a government bus for not wearing the helmet. Now it became a hot topic of discussion everywhere. People say whether bus drivers are also required to wear helmets. The challan book states that a challan of Rs 500 has been deducted from the bus driver and the reason is that the driver did not wear a helmet. Not only this, a notice of this fine has been sent to UPSRTC General Manager and Regional Manager Gorakhpur.

The bus for which the fine has been deducted is said to be a depot. The bus number is UP 53 DT 5460. The place of fine is Sinduria Road, Bismil Nagar Maharajganj. The surprising challan forced the assistant regional manager of Maharajganj to think for some time. On this whole matter, ARM Bhuvneshwar Kumar of UPSRTC Nichlol Depot says that this is the result of the negligence of Uttar Pradesh Traffic Police.
