Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, work on connectivity is being carried out on a war footing during the Yogi Adityanath government. The scope of the State in the road, as well as air connectivity, is now increasing considerably. UP is poised to become the only state in the country where five international airports will operate. UP is poised to become the state with the highest air services in the country.

The Yogi Adityanath government has now increased the pace of all-around expansion of air services in the state. International flights are continuing in Lucknow as well as Varanasi. DGCA license has also been granted for the international airports in Kushinagar. Kushinagar will thus become the third international airport in UP. Subsequently, international airports are also being constructed at Ram Nagari Ayodhya and Jewar in Gautam Budh Nagar. Talking about Jewar International Airport, CM Yogi Adityanath said, "Even after the Corona epidemic, the work of Jewar Airport is progressing in a time-bound manner. In terms of the development of the state, the airport will not only be a milestone for the people of the state but will also improve air connectivity as per the PM's intention.''

CM Yogi said that till 2017 only 4 airports were operational within UP. Even among them, honestly, air services could run in two. One was in Lucknow, the capital of the state, and the other in Varanasi. A flight used to arrive in Gorakhpur occasionally and the same was the case with Agra, but today 8 airports are operational in the State.
