Lucknow: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a big decision on Diwali. In view of the pollution caused by firecrackers, the Yogi government has allowed firecrackers to burn only two hours on Diwali. While issuing instructions, the Yogi government said that firecrackers are allowed to burn only from 8 to 10 pm on the day of Diwali.
Yogi Adityanath Sarkar has also said in his instruction that action will be taken against those who burn firecrackers even after 10 pm. Along with this, the government has urged people to buy firecrackers from the licensed shop itself. In keeping with the decision of the Supreme Court, the Yogi Government has issued a notification on Wednesday, stipulating two hours of fireworks on Diwali.
Let us tell you that the Supreme Court had set the time for burning firecrackers on Diwali in 2018, taking pollution into account. According to the orders issued by the apex court, firecrackers were allowed to fire from 8 am to 10 pm. Fireworks will be banned after 10 pm. The officers have to ensure that these orders of the top court are not violated. In 2017, the court ordered the issuance of just 20 percent of licenses to sell crackers compared to 2016.
