New Delhi: A weekend lockdown has been announced in Uttar Pradesh amid the coronavirus epidemic. According to the UP government, there will now be lockdown across the state on Saturday and Sunday. On the other hand, night curfew will be imposed in districts where there are more than 500 active cases. The weekend lockdown in the state will continue from 8 pm on Friday to 7 am on Monday.

In Uttar Pradesh, unprovoked exits will be prohibited during weekend lockdowns, while only those related to essential services will be allowed to exit. In addition, corona vaccination, people associated with the medical sector will also be exempted. The UP government had earlier imposed lockdown in several districts of the state last Sunday. There was lockdown in about ten districts this Sunday, but now the entire state will have a lockdown on weekends.

The UP government in its directive has appealed not to leave the house. Celebrate festivals and festivals at home, if you leave, definitely wear a mask. Don't be crowded in public places. The Yogi government's decision comes at a time when the Allahabad High Court had recently directed a complete lockdown in five cities of the state. But the state government refused to do the entire lockdown and moved the Supreme Court. But now the state government has ordered only weekend lockdown.
