Lucknow: This year there has been very little rainfall in Uttar Pradesh, due to which the farmers are upset. According to the government's report, this time a drought-like situation has arisen in 62 districts. Due to this, pictures of the drying paddy crops and cracks in the land have also been seen in many places. The use of tube wells for irrigation has also increased. Now the Yogi government is also providing pulses-oilseeds and vegetable seeds to the farmers for free. Distribution of free seed minikits to the farmers has also started.

Let us inform you that earlier the state government had postponed the recovery of electricity bills from farmers affected by drought. After this, the revenue collection was also postponed. Along with this, to give relief to the farmers, it has been decided to increase the power supply in the affected areas. At the same time, the Irrigation Department has also been ordered to ensure the availability of water in the canals. Farmers are facing a lot of problems this time due to less rainfall. To deal with the situation, the Yogi government of UP has decided to give 20 thousand solar pumps to the farmers. These solar pumps will be distributed to the farmers on a first come first serve basis. Not only this, in case of failure of the tubewell, it will be repaired within 36 hours.

The Yogi government has also taken a relief decision for the farmers whose crops have been destroyed due to drought and various calamities. The certificate of 'Meri Policy Mera Haath' is being distributed to the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. Along with this, approval letters for solar irrigation pumps are being given to the beneficiaries of PM Kusum Yojana. Let us inform you that under the Pradhan Mantri Kusum Yojana, up to 60 per cent subsidy is provided to farmer panchayats and cooperative societies for taking solar pumps. Along with this, a loan of 30 percent from the government is also given at a cheap rate for setting up a solar pump plant. Farmers have to spend only 10 percent of this project. By taking advantage of this, the farmer can solve the problem of irrigation of his crops. Along with this, a separate source of income can also be created.
