Lucknow: Due to the lockdown, a large number of migrant workers returned to their home state, then the biggest crisis before the governments was to give employment to these workers. Yogi government has prepared a special scheme to give employment to one crore people simultaneously. MSME sector will have maximum participation in it. The government is claiming to provide employment to a total of 50 lakh workers through micro, small and medium industries.

Yogi government has started a self-sufficient Uttar Pradesh campaign. This campaign has been launched by PM Narendra Modi. Giving information about this, Principal Secretary, Department of Micro and Medium Industries of Uttar Pradesh, Navneet Sehgal have informed that in this biggest employment management program till date, two lakh migrant workers will be handed over appointment letters. Many of these will get the appointment letter from the PM.

According to Navneet Sehgal, on May 29, a meeting of representatives of major industrial institutions was held under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath. Representatives of Indian Industries Association, FICCI, Small Scale Industries Bharti and several manufacturing institutions participated in it. It was decided in the meeting that employment will be provided to the migrant workers. An MoU was also signed in the meeting.
