Lucknow: Law will be prepared soon on 'Love Jihad' in Uttar Pradesh. The Home Ministry has also sent a proposal in this regard to the Law Ministry. Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka had announced that we will enact a new law after the killing of a woman under the guise of the alleged love jihad in Ballabhgarh. The law will be made to be stopped by greed, pressure, intimidation or bluff of marriage.

CM Yogi Adityanath had said that as the Allahabad High Court has clearly stated in one of its decisions that conversion to mere marriage will be illegal. The Yogi government of the state will bring a law with strict provisions in this regard and then those who do such actions will not be well. It is being told that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has also given some suggestions in this regard. According to which, the proselytizer will first have to give notice to the state government and the administration a certain period of time, so that every single thing is recorded in the government figures.

According to the suggestion of VHP, it is imperative to give information to your family members also so that they can take precautions on their behalf. These precautions can be legal i.e. inheritance or will, moral or even family. For the purpose of mere marriage or multi-wife marriage, conversion of religion should also be declared illegal and its punishment should also be strict.
