Dehradun: Patients suffering from serious diseases like cancer have got 'Ayushman' of free treatment in Uttarakhand. So far, 27112 cancer patients have got the facility of free treatment under Atal Ayushman Yojana. On which the government has spent an amount of 50 crores. Under the Atal Ayushman scheme, so far 44 lakh beneficiaries have got golden cards in the state. In which 3.38 lakh have got free treatment facility up to 5 lakh.

In this, 27112 cancer patients were treated. In addition, 1.33 lakh patients were dialysed. The government has spent an amount of 50 crores on the treatment of cancer. Ayushman scheme has proved to be a boon for cancer patients. After cancer treatment was expensive, it was not possible for the common patient to get treatment. But the treatment of cancer has also been simplified in the scheme. Bachan Singh, Pushpa, resident of Jakholi of Rudraprayag district, Om Prakash of Pauri, Farha from Haridwar, Javed Ansari from Dehradun say that cancer treatment was done through the Ayushman scheme. Without a plan, it would have been impossible to get treatment.

The same State Health Authority chairman DK Kotia says that more than 3.38 lakh patients were treated in registered hospitals under the Ayushman scheme. 497 crore was spent on it. In this, the number of patients taking cancer, dialysis treatment is high.
