Dehradun: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded the Trivendra Singh Rawat government to waive people's electricity bills, school fees and house tax. Party spokesperson Hema Bhandari has said in this regard that the lockdown imposed after the coronavirus spread has hit people. Millions of people lost their jobs and business came to a standstill. People's means of income kept on going. Traveling operations also stopped. Businessmen are not even able to remove the rent of the shop.
AAP spokesperson said that the state government has waived the pollution tax of monasteries, dharamshalas, akhadas. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) welcomes this, but given the problem facing the public, the government should also waive their tax. The public should also get the benefit of tax forgiveness. Former Haridwar Assembly in-charge Anil Sati also said that the government should issue a mandate to waive public tax.
The Uttarakhand government has given house tax concession for 10 years to the people of the new areas included in the civic bodies. At the same time, the government has decided to start the Women Entrepreneurship Promotion Scheme. Under this scheme, 40 percent subsidy will be given to women for construction of kiosks.
