Many important decisions can be confirmed in the meeting of Uttarakhand Devasthanam Management Board for the operation and management of Chardham Yatra. An amendment can also be made to the Devasthanam Board's Act on the demand to protect the interests of the rightful persons, priests and trustees. The first meeting of the Devasthanam Board will be held on May 22 at 11 am in the auditorium of the Chief Minister's residence. Many decisions will be taken in the meeting.
Authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to take over the assets, fund, valuables of 51 subordinate temples, including Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, under the Board and the responsibilities of the District Magistrates in acquiring the temples may also increase. The agenda of the meeting has also included protecting the interests of right-holders, priests and trustees and taking officers and employees under the Board as per the prerequisite condition. Chardham fund will also be set up for wages, salaries and expenses.
Around 400 temporary employees serving as required in the Badri-Kedar Mandir Committee are also expected to meet this meeting. The entitlements of right-holders, priests and employees associated with Chardham will be protected. A number of decisions will be taken for the duly functioning of the board. The income and management of temples will also be churned.
