Nainital: Uttarakhand has been receiving heavy rain for the past several days and people are facing a lot of trouble due to this. Not only humans but animals are now in trouble, along with them. The recent picture that has surfaced is of Halduchaud and Lalkuan in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. The picture is currently going viral on social media.

 

You can see in this picture the water level of the Gaula river has gone above the danger mark and an elephant got stuck in the water of Gaula in the Lalkuan area. This picture is currently doing the rounds on Twitter. An elephant was reportedly trapped when the water level of Gaula rose in the middle of the Gaula river near Hata village between Halduchaud and Lalkuan. In fact, this elephant is trapped in the middle of the flood of the Gaula River and an island. Locals have informed the forest department and asked them to come and rescue the elephant soon. On the other hand, the forest department is ready to pull out the elephant and the water level of the island is abiding to recede.

Heavy rains have wreaked havoc in Uttarakhand. So far, 11 deaths have been reported and the visit to Chardham has been stopped after heavy rains. According to reports, thousands of passengers are currently stranded in the mountains. Meanwhile, relief rescue teams are waiting for the rain to stop and the water level to recede.
