Uttarakhand: Dead Bodies of 4 Indian Navy mountaineers retrieved from Avalanche-hit Mt Trishul

Uttarkashi: The bodies of 4 Navy climbers who went missing after an avalanche in Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand have been recovered near Trishul mountain during a search operation. At the same time, there are reports that efforts are on to trace the fifth nine-soldier climber and a Sherpa. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has condoled the passing away of soldiers recently. On the other hand, the Indian Navy says that the mortal remains of four of the five missing Naval climbers have been recovered from Chamoli today.

At the same time, the Indian Navy has also said, "The mortal remains of Lt Commander Rajinikanth Yadav, Lt Commander Yogesh Tiwari, Lt Commander Anant Kukreti, Hariom MCPO-II were recovered. Efforts are on to trace the fifth soldier climber. Let me tell all of you that Col. Amit Bisht, Principal, Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) informed that "The team has recovered the bodies of 4 climbers from Mount Trishul, Chamoli. The search is on for the other two members. A team went missing after an avalanche last Friday.

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has also tweeted his grief over the entire incident. In this tweet, he writes, "Deeply saddened by the tragic death of four Naval personnel who were part of the Indian Navy's mountaineering expedition to Trishul Mountain. In this tragedy, the nation has lost not only precious young but also courageous soldiers.''
