CM Pushkar Singh Dhami hinted at bringing the sports policy proposal to the cabinet on Monday due to a function. He said the state government is making several new provisions in the sports policy for sportspersons in the state.

That will benefit both the sports and the players of the state. The meeting may come up with proposals for increasing the contribution of ration dealers, leasing out public sector gardens and departmental service regulations. Earlier, the Cabinet meeting was scheduled to be held on November 11. But the meeting was postponed due to the busy schedules of CM and ministers.

Earlier in the month, in a cabinet meeting, the Uttarakhand government had given a big gift to students studying in government medical colleges. The fixed fee of Rs 4 lakh for MBBS students for one year was reduced to Rs 1.45 lakh. After completing medical studies, a fee of Rs 50,000 was fixed for the students who had filled the bond to provide services in Uttarakhand itself.
