Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday visited the Kedarnath Temple, where he prayed at the Himalayan shrine and also took stock of the ongoing reconstruction works underway at Kedarnath.

The Kedarnath Dham re-development project foundation stone was laid down by PM Narendra Modi in April 2017 and is said to be one of his dream projects.

The second phase of the master plan is dedicated to the Kedarnath Dham development and reconstruction project, for the holy site in Kedarnath, with the help of drones. Portions of the Himalayan shrine in Uttarakhand were damaged during the flash floods in 2013.

The Uttarakhand high court had lifted its stay on Char Dham yatra, which officially started from September 18, with a capping on the number of pilgrims that will be allowed daily to the four Himalayan shrines.

Earlier, before two months,  Dhami took note of the progress of the second phase of the master plan dedicated to the Kedarnath Dham development and reconstruction project, for the holy site in Kedarnath, with the help of drones. Portions of the Himalayan shrine in Uttarakhand were damaged during the flash floods in 2013.
