Tuesday,May 24, 2016:Harish Rawat,the Chief Minister of Uttrakhand, will today appear before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in link with a sting operation investigate in which he was allegedly shown offering corrupt to rebel Congress MLAs to keep his Govt.
The probe agency had previous rejected the notice of the Uttarakhand Govt after taking legal view which said that, “there was no ground for its withdrawal.”
On May 20, the Congress govt in Uttarakhand decided to constitute a judicial committee to seem into several problems, involving incidents unfolding after March 17-18 such as horse trading, misuse of agencies and sting operation among others.
Rawat on justifying the Cabinet decision said that, “it was in the wider interest of the state that this matter is handed over to a judicial commission.”
In the video, it is shows Rawat treating in horse trading a day before President's rule was forced in Uttarakhand on March 27.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had alleged that the throb was confirm of unfair means used by the Rawat regime to stay in power.
As per the Rawat it is all the “conspiracy” to dull his image.
