Dehradun: Just before the assembly elections, factionalism in the BJP has come to the fore. In the last three days, BJP MLA Dilip Rawat has created a stir in the party by blasting a letter against Dr Harak Singh Rawat, the forest and energy minister of his own government. This time, he has raised a demand against the Forest Minister for neglecting the Lansdown area and operating the Office of KTR from Lansdowne and posting of Executive Engineer in the power distribution block Nainidanda. In a letter to the CM, he warned him to sit on a fast unto death before the Assembly if the demand is not acted upon within three days.

The same Lansdowne MLA Dilip Rawat had sent a letter to CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on December 28 demanding a high-level investigation into corruption in the forest department. He has once again sent a letter to the CM on Friday. One of the reasons for the displeasure in the letter this time is the non-deployment of the executive engineer in the power distribution block Nainidanda.

He said that on 12th December, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami had dedicated the office at a function held at Pattotia Danda Degree College. Even after 20 days of dedication, EE has not been deployed. He alleged that a befitting reply is being given by him on his interaction with the Managing Director of the Energy Corporation. He alleged that the appointments are being postponed due to pressure from Energy Minister Dr Harak Singh Rawat. He said that in the past, KTR's divisional office has been operating from Lansdowne.
