New Delhi: Uttarakhand government is going to recruit 1700 policemen soon. Regarding this, the Chief Minister of the state, Trivendra Singh Rawat has reviewed the Home Department. Apart from this, CM Rawat has also issued instructions to conduct public awareness campaigns in school colleges regularly to prevent law and order, traffic management, effective control of car theft, youth addiction.

For effective control over economic crimes, the establishment of separate police stations, cyber police station and rehab center in Haldwani has been asked to start the recruitment process at vacant places. Chief Minister Rawat has also given approval for construction of police multi-purpose building in Dehradun and to increase the Police Legal Fund. Also, 20 PCR vehicles will be purchased for crime control.

Apart from this, it has also been announced to increase the honorarium of part-time cleaning personnel working in the police from 1500 to 3000. Permission has been granted to increase the spending limit on the food of prisoners under consideration from Rs 45 to Rs 100. Apart from this, CM Rawat has asked to behave decently with the general public regarding the invoices to be made on those who break traffic rules.
