Dehradun: Haridwar Police of Uttarakhand has arrested a robed bride who used to get married at the behest of her husband. Then used to run away with ornaments and money. This robbery bride married a man from Chandigarh betrayed her. Just a few days after the wedding, the robbery bride run away with 50 thousand rupees and jewellery from her in-laws.

The police have arrested the robbery bride along with her real husband. Actually, the mastermind of this gang is her husband. These two used to present themselves as siblings. The fraud couple was caught from Haridwar. His real name is Anjali and Mahavir. SP City Kamlesh Upadhyay told that Anjali met her youth living in Chandigarh after changing her name, that is, to Pooja. After this both of them got married on 18 December. On January 7, both came to Haridwar on their honeymoon. Both stayed in a hotel. Meanwhile, Anjali ran away with 50,000 rupees and jewellery after seeing the opportunity.

The victim had lodged a complaint in Kotwali. However, before Anjali and Mahavir fled from there, both were arrested from the bus stand. Mahavir introduced Anjali as a sister and introduced the victim to the young man. Police suspect that both of them may have committed many such frauds earlier.
