Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government has got a big relief from the High Court over the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand. After changing the high court's decision to admit a limited number of pilgrims to the Dhams per day, the court said that now any devotee can go on a pilgrimage to Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham. The court has ordered unlimited number of passengers.

In fact, 3 weeks ago, the High Court gave conditional approval to the Char Dham Yatra and allowed only 800 devotees in Kedarnath, 1000 in Badrinath, 600 in Gangotri and 400 in Yamunotri for visit in a day. Since then, the pilgrims had been gathering and reaching all four shrines.

To get rid of the problem, the state government had filed an affidavit in the high court last Thursday seeking an increase in the limit on the number of passengers. However, the court has ordered the Uttarakhand government to complete medical arrangements for all devotees. It has also ordered that helicopters be kept ready for medical facilities in all four Dhams.
