Dehradun: Recently, the condition of insecurity in the capital Dehradun is that even the MLAs of the party running the government in the state are not considering themselves safe. The MLAs have complained to the SSP expressing concern over the safety of the MLA hostels. The legislators say that there is an atmosphere of insecurity in the hostels. Neither adequate guards are deployed here nor CCTV cameras are being monitored. This sensitive place is being played with security.

According to sources, it has been learned that the complaint letter sent by Vinod Chamoli, MLA from the Dharampur area has the signature of many MLAs. According to the legislators, the transit hostel is a very sensitive place in terms of security. The MLAs reside and study here, but at present, not enough guards are also stationed here. Sometimes two or only one security guard is stationed here. Not only this, LIU used to be deployed here to monitor CCTV cameras, but now not a single LIU worker is deployed here.

SSP Arun Mohan Joshi says that the letter of MLAs has been received, on which immediate cognizance has been taken.
