Dehradun: Covid cases in Uttarakhand are making daily records. Within 24 hours, covid data has broken the old record. The state government has changed the timing of the night curfew to put a brake on the speed of covid. According to the new order, the timing of the night curfew has been extended. A revised SOP has been issued by the government. According to the order, the time of night curfew for all districts will now be from 9 am to 5 am. According to the order, more than 200 people have not been allowed to participate in any religious, political, and social events including marriage. However, the ongoing Kumbh Mela in Haridwar has been kept out of the purview of the order.

Night Curfew in all the districts: It has been said in the revised SOP issued by Chief Secretary Om Prakash that it will not be applicable to the ongoing Kumbh Mela in Haridwar were in view of covid-19 by the Center and State Governments first. The ongoing standard operating procedure is in force.

These will remain open: According to the revised SOP, all modes of public transport including buses and auto-rickshaws, cinema halls, restaurants, bars, and gyms have been approved to run at half their capacity. It is also being said that Uttarakhand had the highest number of 2757 new cases of covid on Saturday. Apart from this, 37 patients also died due to infection. The figure of the dead has now risen to 1856. At the same time, the number of active patients in the state has now increased to 15,386.
