Dehradun: Most of the rivers in the country are in spate due to monsoon rains. Several parts of the state are in the grip of floods. The Ganga is also not in danger at present. In Haridwar, the Ganga is on full swing and its flow is very fast. A young man from Haryana who took a bath in this fast flow of the Ganga was also washed away. He was drifting in the middle of the river Ganga. A Uttarakhand police jawan posted at Ghat risked his life and rescued him.

Uttarakhand Police has shared a video of the incident on its Twitter handle. According to police, the young man from Haryana had gone to take bath in the Ganga at Vishal Haridwar. He was bathing at Kangra Ghat in Haridwar. During this time, his foot slipped and he began to flow along the river Ganga. As he walked, he reached the middle of the Ganges.

Later, the Uttarakhand police constable posted at Ghat, Sunny, jumped into the river without caring for his life. The soldier, Sunny, caught him in the Ganges and swam to shore a little later. After which Vishal was given first aid. The condition of the young man is said to be stable.
