Dehradun: Heavy rains have created a lot of panic in Uttarakhand. In Uttarakhand, innumerable rains have affected normal life. The MET department has issued a red alert here today. Many photos from across the state are going viral on social media which can give you a clear view of this scene of destruction. Several persons were reportedly trapped in the rain. Rescue operation is on to evacuate the people trapped in the flood. About 22 persons trapped in Jung Chatti have been rescued by the SDRF and police the previous day. All these persons have been shifted to Gaurikund.
Around 100 persons were also reportedly stranded at the lemon tree resort on the Ramnagar Ranikhet route. However, all are safe and rescue is being carried out. The Kosi river water has come here, the river water is in spate. On the other hand, the water of Naini Lake in Nainital overflowed and entered the streets and roads. The water from the lake has also entered the houses of the individuals.

In the Nainital district, the railway line connecting Kathgodam was also hit by the river. The flood destroyed the railway line connecting Kathgodam, the last railway station in the Kumaon region. While the highest rainfall in the state has affected the lives of the common man, the animals in the forests are suffering the most. The elephant got stuck between Halduchaud and Gaula rivers in the state. However, he managed to get out of the middle of the river.
