Tehri: A school bus carrying children on Pratapnagar-Kangsali-Madananegi motorway in Tehri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand fell into a gorge near Kangsali. Nine school students were killed in the Incident while nine others are said to be injured. On receiving information about the incident, the local police rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation.

Police have evacuated the injured children from the vehicle with the help of locals and admitted them to the nearby hospital. Meanwhile, preparations are being made to airlift the seriously injured children to Dehradun. According to sources, the incident took place on Tuesday morning. A school bus on Pratapnagar-Kangasali-Madanangi motorway went out of control near Kangsali and fell into a gorge.

18 children were sitting on the school bus. Nine children were killed in the tragic incident. On receiving information about the incident, people from nearby areas and the SDRF team rushed to the spot. The injured children were rescued from the trench and admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The identity of the deceased and the injured is yet to be ascertained.
