Dehradun: Many parts of Uttarakhand are still cloudy. According to a bulletin issued by the Weather Centre, moderate to light rainfall may occur in many areas of the state. In other areas, the weather is expected to remain dry.  The Yamunotri pedestrian route is still blocked. Trying to create alternative routes. The worst landslide near Bhidiyaligad Gadre destroyed 40 metres of Janki Chatti-Yamunotri pedestrian route.

The landslide destroyed the bridge, railings and sheds on the pedestrian route as well as the hut of Nilgiri Maharaj. The sage living in the hut somehow saved. The journey to Yamunotri Dham has been stopped due to blocking of the route. As soon as the landslide happened, teams from the police, SDRF, revenue and Lonivi reached the spot. With the help of ropes in the upper part of the landslide, pilgrims from Hyderabad, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, stranded towards Yamunotri are being evacuated and all arrangements are being made.

On the other hand, the corona infection rate has also picked up pace as the sample test has increased in the state. In the last 10 days, more than one lakh people were screened in the state. An average of 10,000 people were screened in a day. Based on this, the infection rate was 8.34 per cent. However, the total sample test and infection rate of the state on the basis of infected patients is 6.02 per cent since March. Corona infection is rapidly increasing in the four plains of the state. Dehradun district has the highest infection rate of 16.70 per cent in the last 10 days.
