Dehradun: Continuing rain and snowfall continues in Uttarakhand on Wednesday i.e. today, 29 January 2020. It has been raining since Tuesday night from the mountain to the ground. At the same time, highways are closed due to snowfall in the mountain, due to which people have to face a lot of trouble in coming and going. And at the same time, the queen of the mountains, Mussoorie and Dhanaulti and the surrounding areas have been snowing since Tuesday. On Wednesday morning, the beautiful music of Mussoorie was completely paralyzed with snow. Tourists from the country and abroad along with the locals enjoyed the snowfall.

The weather has started getting very cold due to rain in Mussoorie and snowfall in Dhanaulti. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rain and snowfall in the high altitude areas for the next 24 hours. The district administration has also become alert after the meteorological department's warning. Mussoorie Dhanaulti Road has been closed. Mussoorie-Camptee Road has also been closed near Zero Point.

In view of the forecast of rain and snowfall by the Meteorological Department, on Wednesday, a holiday has been declared in all government and non-government schools from class one to 12th in six districts of Garhwal. Also, all Anganwadi centers will also be closed. District Magistrates of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Tehri, Pauri, and Rudraprayag have issued instructions to departmental officials in this regard. In Haridwar, schools up to class five will be closed.
