Valentine's Day 2025 -  Yes, Valentine's Day  It is a special day when lovers shower each other with love, gifts, and sweet gestures. But have you ever wondered where this holiday came from?

Some people believe that Valentine's Day has its roots in the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia. Held in mid-February, Lupercalia celebrated the arrival of spring with rituals focused on fertility and matchmaking. In fact, women were paired up with men through a lottery system!

As Christianity spread, Pope Gelasius-I banned Lupercalia in the 5th century. Some say he replaced it with St. Valentine's Day, but the true origins remain a mystery.

Interestingly, Valentine's Day did not become associated with romance until the 14th century. Today, it is a day for people all around the world to show love and appreciation for one another.
