The controversy over Vanita Vijaykumar and Peter Paul's recent marriage continues even after a month. Apart from the police complaint of Peter Paul's first wife Elizabeth that she is not yet divorced, Vanita is facing a defamation claim of Rs 1.25 crore from actress Lakshmi Ramakrishnan. Moreover, her own apartment building residents filed a case for shooting photos and videos by violating social distancing norms.

Along with Lakshmi and Kasturi, producers Ravinder, Nanjil Vijayan and Surya Devi are slamming Vanita on YouTube and other media. Among them, actor Nanjil Vijayan said that he did not know Surya Devi, as he had been interviewed about Vanita Vijaykumar before, but a photo of him and actor Robo Shankar had appeared on the net a few weeks ago. Now Vanita has posted a picture of Nanjil Vijayan and Surya Devi in which she is sharing a drink. She has captioned the image "Tamil kalacharam and ethics..trying to portray a woman negatively who has bravely survived through her terrible past and still managed to make her life a success and never gave up on her life or kids and lives with dignity is not getting anyone anything or anywhere."
