In this town, a Brahmin woman, Charumati, lived with her family. Charumati was a merciful woman who lived a perfect woman's life by serving her mother-in-law, father-in-law and husband and worshipping mother Lakshmi Ji.
There is a night when Charumati's mother Lakshmi dreamt and said, "Charumati do only Varlakshmi Vrat for my sake every Friday." With the effect of this fast, you must attain the desired fruit. Then, the very next morning, Charumati duly worshipped Lakshmi Vrat, mentioned by her mother Lakshmi, along with other women of the society. When the pooja was over, all the women started revolving around Kalash, while the bodies of all the women were adorned with various gold ornaments.
