The upcoming flick Michael film's producers recently announced on social media that Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will join the cast of the film. Sundeep Kishan and Divyansha Kaushik feature in the film, which is directed by Renjit Jeyakodi and casts them in pivotal roles. Gautham Vasudev Menon, the director, and actor Vijay Sethupathi have been cast in the film for cameo roles.
"After the big additions of Vijay Sethupathi and Gautham Menon to Sundeep Kishan's 'Michael', the team welcomes the supremely talented Varalaxmi Sarathkumar on board. Her surprise role will set the screens on fire,” Sree Venkateswara Cinemas, the production banner bankrolling the film wrote. Actor Sundeep, who is playing the lead, also welcomed the actor to the crew and tweeted, “Take pleasure in welcoming on board on one of favourite Humans/Actors @varusarath5 to the World Of #Michael. I can already imagine the response in the theatres for your entry as this character.”

Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi are among the five languages in which the film will be released. Varalaxmi recently appeared in Kannada films such as Naandhi and Ranam, which were both released last year. Naandhi is a courtroom drama about Surya Prakash (actor Naresh), who is wrongly convicted of murder. Priyadarshi, Harish Uthaman, Vijay Varma, and Praveen had supporting parts in the film, which was directed by Vijay Kanakamedala.
She also appeared in the film Ranam, which starred late actor Chiranjeevi Sarja. Chetan Kumar and Amir Ali Shaik also acted in the Samudra directed film. Music composers Ravi Shankar and Chinna were on board, and cinematographer Niranjan Babu was in charge of the production.
Varalaxmi also starred as the title character in the Telugu film Chasing, which was released on April 16, 2021. Veerakumar made his directing debut with this flick. Sundeep Kishan's latest film, Kasada Tabara, debuted on Sony LIV's Over-the-Top (OTT) platform on August 27. Harish Kalyan, Regina Cassandra, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Vijayalakshmi, Shanthanu, Premgi, and Venkat Prabhu are among the cast members of the anthology film.
