New Delhi: Varavara Rao, who is serving a jail term in the Bhima Koregaon Elgar Parishad case, has got a big relief. The Supreme Court has granted bail to Varavara Rao, who is lodged in the Bhima Koregaon case. The apex court has granted bail to Varavara Rao on medical grounds. Along with this, the Supreme Court has also said that Rao will not come in contact with any witness.  

The apex court has also said that Varavara Rao will not leave the area of the concerned trial court without the permission of the court and will not misuse his release. The Supreme Court, while granting bail to Varavara Rao, said that he will be able to get his treatment done of his choice. The court also directed that he will have to inform the NIA about the treatment. The apex court also made it clear that the bail has been granted purely on medical grounds and it will not affect the other accused in the case.

After getting bail from the apex court, the way has been cleared for the release of Varavara Rao, who is lodged in a Maharashtra jail. 82-year-old left-wing writer Varavara Rao has been ill for a long time. Varavara Rao was also corona infected. Varavara Rao had been making long-standing efforts for bail on the health ground, which the NIA was opposing. Now the Supreme Court has granted bail to Varavara Rao. After which he will now come out of jail.
