Bawaal, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, is one of the most highly anticipated movie of the year. Fans are eager to see Janhvi and Varun's on-screen chemistry in Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment's romantic drama 'Bawaal', where they will share screen for the first time. In August 2022, Janhvi and Varun finished shooting Bawaal in Poland. The movie's initial release date was scheduled on April 7, 2023.

As the movie's release date was announced, Nitesh Tiwari posted a message on Twitter. He tweeted, “My second association with Sajid sir and a rather intriguing one #BAWAAL starring @Varun_dvn & #JanhviKapoor will hit the theatres on 6th Oct 2023. ”The Nadiadwala Grandson also tweeted, “National Award-Winners #SajidNadiadwala & @niteshtiwari22, are back with #BAWAAL. After Sushant Singh Rajput's Chhichhore, which won a National Award, Nitesh Tiwari and Sajid Nadiadwala have collaborated on Bawaal. Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, along with Piyush Gupta, Nikhil Mehrotra, Shreyas Jain, and her husband Nitesh Tiwari, wrote the script for Bawaal. EarthSky Pictures and Sajid Nadiadwala jointly produce Bawaal under the Nadiadwala Grandson label.

Janhvi announced the completion of the movie in July of last year and said, “From stalking Nitesh sir and Sajid sir to make sure i get this film, to praying obsessively that it happens, to pinching myself everyday that I’m actually shooting for it, to having finally wrapped it. I still can’t believe that I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of this wholesome, heartfelt world that Nitesh sir has created. I’ve learnt so much from you sir, so much about films and making movies with love but more about the value in being a person that leads their life with such dignity and honest values.”
