Sources associated with the film reveal that this film, made under Karan Johar's Dharma production, is a romantic family drama.

The film stars actors Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. Dharma Production has signed 3 consecutive films with Kiara Advani, with the first film being 'Good News', the second film being by Shashank Khaitan. The news is that Shashank first told the story of the film to Varun, he wanted to reunite Alia Bhatt with Varun, but Alia would not be a part of the film due to not having dates.

After locking Varun's name, Shashank told the story to Bhumi and Kiara, both of them agreed as soon as they heard the story and signed the film. The shooting of this masala family drama of director Shashank Khaitan will start from February 2020. Shashank will complete the film within 3 months as soon after this Varun will be busy shooting for Sriram Raghavan's next war based film.
