BJP's Varun Gandhi to join Sonia's party after years of dissension?

Prayagraj: BJP MP Varun Gandhi has seen several scathing statements on the farmers' agitation and the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh over the past few days. There was talk in the political corridors that the rift between Varun Gandhi and the BJP had widened. These speculations were further fuelled when Varun Gandhi and his mother Maneka Gandhi were named in the BJP national executive's announced list.

Later on Tuesday, Congress workers in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh put up posters welcoming Varun Gandhi to the Congress. It also had pictures of Varun Gandhi along with Sonia Gandhi. However, Varun Gandhi has dismissed all speculation while talking to the media. He has said that there is no such thing, there are strange people who do it. Congress workers have also made the poster viral on social media. The poster also features local senior Congress party leaders Baba Awasthi and Irshad Ullah.

Seeing Varun Gandhi's pictures with interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi on social media, people started speculating that the Gandhi family may be uniting by removing years of confusion. But so far, such reports have not come from senior leaders of both the parties and party spokespersons. This is only considering it as a rumour.
