Janmashtami is a special festival for all. This time Janmashtami is scheduled to be celebrated on the 23rd and 24th of August. On the day of Janmashtami, people dedicate many things to Lord Krishna. All the devils that Kansa sent to kill Lord Krishna were shown by Lord Krishna as the door to hell and one of them was The Asura. Yes, this devil was sent by Kansa to kill Lord Krishna, but Lord Krishna killed him.  Now today we're going to tell you that story.

The killing of Vatsasur - the wonderful view of natural beauty in Vrindavan. There were trees laden with fruits all around. There were keys in place. The birds on each put were resonating to the atmosphere with their melodious tones. The view of Vrindavan was very magnificent. The Govardhan Mountains in Vrindavan and the Yamuna River were making it even more beautiful. Lord Krishna used to go to the forest every day to grazing cows with his companions and played with them. One day at noon, Shri Krishna was playing with his friends under a tree. There was peace all around and suddenly The sight of Shri Krishna fell on his calves. Among all those calves was a different type of calf. Lord Krishna was surprised to see that. That calf was none other than a monster. Who imbibes the form of calves. He had been waiting for a long time to harm Lord Krishna.

Lord Krishna saw the calf and recognized that it was not a calf but an devil. If Lord Krishna could close his eyes and see the whole world, how could he hide it from him? On seeing Vatsasur, Krishna ran to him and grabbed him with a neck. He then hit the Demon's stomach and killed him. All the friends of Lord Krishna were surprised to see him.
