New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department has reported on Tuesday that the cyclonic storm ' Vayu ' has intensified due to the low pressure area being formed in the Arabian Sea. According to the department, the storm is now heading towards Gujarat. The coastal areas of Gujarat are under threat of cyclone.

As per the information received from the sources, the cyclone is 380 kms from North West Amnidivi (Lakshadweep), 630 kms in south West Mumbai (Maharashtra) and 780 kms in south of Veraval (Gujarat). It is expected that due to the cyclone, the region of Saurashtra and Kutch can have a wind speed of 100 km per hour as well as heavy rains. Fishermen have been advised not to go to sea.

With this, cyclonic storm Air is moving towards Gujarat in north and north-west direction. This could also cause light to moderate rain in some parts of Kerala. Heavy rain may occur in coastal areas of Karnataka. Let's say the low-pressure area had taken the form of depression on Monday because of hot sea winds that turned into a cyclone on Tuesday.
