Ayodhya: The construction of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya will begin next year. Talking to reporters here on Sunday, Ram Vilas Vedanti, chairman of Sriram Janmabhoomi Trust, expressed confidence that the grand Ram temple will be constructed in Ayodhya during the current tenure of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre.

Vedanti said, the construction of the temple will start next year and by then the Supreme Court decision will come, and the BJP will have a majority in the Rajya Sabha. Ram Vilas Vedanti is also the main advocate of the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi case.

Vedanti said that the Ram temple construction issue in Parliament can also be resolved on the basis of Hindu-Muslim mutual understanding. He said no power in the world can build a mosque on Ram Janmabhoomi. Vedanti claimed that no religious charities have any objection to the construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya and a mosque in Lucknow. He defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not bringing an ordinance saying it is not feasible to bring an ordinance in the Rajya Sabha due to lack of BJP majority.

Vedanti said that 80 per cent of the Muslims in the country are in favour of an early resolution of the dispute. They also want to see the Ram temple at Janmabhoomi, but the Sunni Wakf Board wants to keep the issue entangled so as to harm the peace of the country. For this, they gets money from terrorists in Pakistan. Shia Wakf Board Chairman Wasim Rizvi has already made a statement in this regard.

He said, more than 30 thousand temples were demolished across the country including Kashi, Mathura and Ayodhya, but the saint society never demanded 30,000 temples. The saints of the country, including Guru Mahant Avadyanath of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, had proposed a demand for only three temples, including the Vishwanath Temple in Kashi, the Krishna Janmabhoomi of Mathura and the grand temple construction on Ram Janmabhoomi. "The temple in Ayodhya was demolished and the domes of the mosque were built. Just as temples that were demolished long ago in Pakistan and Malaysia were replaced by temples, why can't india? ''
