The havoc of coronavirus has started once again in India, but under the information received, very few variants of it have been found. However, none of them has shown cases of increased transmission, serious illness or hospitalization. This information has been given in the report of the Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG). In fact, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the recombinant is prepared by a combination of the genetic material of two different variants of the virus.

According to the report that emerged, "A study of genome sequencing has shown that very few recombinant variants have been found in India. So far, no one has seen an increase in transmission or serious illness or hospitalization. Even if it is this new wave of Corona, it is not as devastating as it was seen in April last year. INSACOG says that the work of monitoring the mutation of the virus in 52 laboratories is going on. Apart from this, the researchers also reported that the suspected variants of the recombinants are being closely monitored.''

Any kind of alert regarding public health is being monitored. This report has been uploaded by INSACOG after almost three months. Yes, and it has been prepared after studying 240,570 samples till April 8. At the same time, 118,569 variants of concern or interest; 44,100 of the omicron variants; Delta's 43,925; Alpha's 4266; 5,607 variants of B.1.617.1 and 20,448 variants of the AY series have been analysed.
